The companion app · free with your first visit

Meet L.A.N.C.E. — therapy that keeps working between sessions.

Not a meditation app — a pocket clinic. 96 evidence-based tools, personalized to you, with your real progress measured and sent securely to your therapist. And now it tells a full five-act story — His Father's Name — built to make you laugh by challenge two, and hand you back your own name by challenge thirty-one.

Your home screen — the tools you chose, ready to open
01 · Personalized to you

Your companion. Your tools. Your home screen.

Name your guide and choose their personality, set your theme, then build your home screen from a library of 60+ tools. It becomes the app you actually open.

The AI CBT Reframer tool
02 · Real clinical tools

The same modalities used in the room.

CBT thought records, an AI cognitive reframer, DBT skills, EMDR, grounding, breathwork — structured, guided, and grounded in evidence. Not affirmations. Actual practice.

  • Guided, step-by-step — never a blank box
  • Unlock new tools as you build the habit
Home overview — daily rhythm, streaks and quick-launch tools
03 · A daily rhythm

Small, steady, between every visit.

Daily mind–body check-ins, mood and sleep tracking, a quick-launch suite, and gentle streaks — so patterns surface and the work doesn’t stop when the session ends.

The Vault — earn gems from real therapeutic work and spend them on titles and badges
05 · Progress that feels like progress

Real work earns real rewards.

Every challenge completed earns Gems to spend in the Vault — cosmetic titles and badges on glowing pedestals. The rewards never gate the therapy; they just make coming back feel good. That’s the point: the tool you reopen is the tool that helps.

What almost no solo practice can do

The outcomes loop.

Your work in the app doesn’t vanish into a journal. It becomes clinical information your therapist can actually use — every week.

Your side of the island: the Clinical Companion.

L.A.N.C.E. pairs with a clinician cockpit built by the same 25-year LPC — an EHR that's pleasant at 8am and connected live to your client's phone.

The live bridge.

Assign any of the 97 tools to a client's phone in one tap — and watch real completion receipts flow back. Said in session, done by Tuesday, visible Wednesday.

A session room built for therapy.

One-link telehealth with Therapy Scenes: open a grounding tool on both screens, breathe together in sync — and when a client finishes all 31 challenges, watch the story's ending together.

Notes that write themselves.

Live scribe during the call, a drafted note on hangup, signed in under a minute. Less software, more therapy.

My Story

I didn't start with a platform. I started on an island in Alaska.

One week after completing my master's degree in 2001, I sold everything I owned, packed up my wife and three kids, and moved to a remote fishing village in Petersburg, Alaska. No blueprint. No safety net. Just a calling.

What followed was 25 years of showing up for people others couldn't reach — foster children in state care, Native American communities in New Mexico, families in the Texas desert, immigrants and refugees in Connecticut health centers, addiction survivors rebuilding their lives, couples on the edge, and 90-year-olds who just needed someone to talk to.

I grew from therapist to Clinical Director, to Statewide Director overseeing 16 offices, to Chief Behavioral Health Officer of a Federally Qualified Health Center, to University faculty, to national speaker and published researcher. Then I came back to what I love most — sitting with one person and helping them change their life.

When the pandemic hit in 2020, I joined Lionrock Recovery and ran addiction groups three days a week for people across the entire country — at the exact moment when isolation, grief, and substance use were colliding. That chapter wasn't just about sobriety. It was about helping people find joy again.
